  1.  I am really thinking today.  It is one of those days when you just think, & thank God for all you are blessed with.  The stroke gave me hope, and I plan to show everyone that it slows you down a little.  But it does not stop you.

wrote this to the stroke association today. Donia Moore Gonzales Phd.

Their are so many out there who have had strokes or TIA's that at this point I am frustrated. We seem to only have support groups on Facebook. I have tried to start a group in Delaware with no help from the association. I have written letters, made phone calls, and even sent a fax and got nothing. I wonder if this was a cancer patient would they be treated that way? And please don't get me wrong, both my parents and a sibling died from cancer. But it seems no one take us serious and it stops here. We have people suffering out here that need support and help. Why is that. I have no words to describe how angry I feel when we don't get help. Some how, someway, we have to fix this. The ball is in your court. The squeaky wheel gets the oil, and I am squeaking loud and clear. If I have to go to the newspaper all the way to the President, and mind you the VP's son had a stroke. I will do it.

Being Healthy Without the Fuss.

I survived a stroke, Now I am alive and ready to start my new life. It will be cooking for a stroke. The food does not have to be bland. Just good & presentation is everything.
